October Creativity Challenge

I was waiting for Halloween to shoot some shots for October's challenge and it was clear that Mother Nature didn't cooperate for this one. I went back in the house with all the rain and decided to use my kitchen table and the lighting from the candles to create this one with my 3 "little pumpkins". In hindsight, I wish I had of used my 50mm instead of my 17-50mm so the image was crisper. Here it is...

AUGUST ....Motion Blur

This summer was an amazing one. The focus of my Clickin' Mom's group was Motion Blur. I have yet to master this one and after trying and trying this month and advice from this group of amazing women.....I believe my issue was where I was focussing. Although I have a lot more practicing to do and have far from perfected this, I did get a chance to take some more pics when we went to the Detroit Tigers game. Verlander was pitching and here is what I got....

June's Monthly Challenge

June is typically an extremely busy time of year at school. It is the time I am finishing up report cards, EQAO testing, all of the end of the year assemblies and tasks. It was busy in our household with extra-curricular activities too as the boys were on the go with soccer, hockey, and baseball at least 3 nights of the week.

I am sooo glad to be done school and get back to the hobby that I love so much. This month's challenge was "Shallow DOF". I love this one and love to take pics like this of my kids when I have one of them in my frame.

I was lucky enough to be asked by my dear friend to take pictures of her son for prom. His date had the most beautiful shoes. Here is what I did with the shoes.

Here is a snail I found while I was gardening.

I was asked to take pictures of our graduates for the actual graduation ceremony decorations.

Finally....this is one of my favourites of my baby girl that I took last fall. I know this isn't one from this month, but I had to include it. It is one of my favourites of her.

April's Creativity Challenge

I am FINALLY entering back into the real world. It has been crazy going back to work from Maternity leave in the middle of the school year. I never had to do that with the boys, as it just worked to start back to work in September. I am finally feeling like I am starting to be able to juggle everything again.

April's focus was "Shooting Through Glass". Since we had a nest outside the school window and are patiently waiting for the eggs to hatch.....here is what I came up with.

CM Monthly Challenge #1

I had the opportunity to join a group of talented Clickin' Moms to focus on a different area each month. This month our focus was Close-Up Portraiture. To be honest, this was a new difficult for me. I don't usually shoot this close and this is my first time posting to a blog circle. I am first in the circle, so here goes nothing. Here is what came out of my struggle. Looking forward to the feedback.
